10DLC information.

Important changes are taking place in the text messaging industry around business-to-consumer text messaging. All businesses using 10-digit long codes for text messaging must register.

As you’ve probably experienced first-hand, texting from local phone numbers has grown increasingly popular over the past few years, and we’re not surprised! It’s the preferred way for customers to communicate with businesses and vice versa. US carriers want to make sure it stays that way – a channel customers can trust, that’s free of spam and unsolicited communications. Nobody wants it to go the way of fax or email.

To help accomplish that goal, the cellular carriers are introducing a new set of standards and registration processes for 10DLC numbers (“10-digit long code” - the fancy term for your local landline or VoIP number) designed to support higher message speed, improve deliverability and increase sending trust across the 10DLC texting channel.

It is important that you take action and register your number(s) in order to avoid potential 10DLC fees and future disruption of service.
