Can I text from my business landline number?
Most likely, yes. Most landline, VoIP, and toll-free numbers are eligible — we can verify yours instantly.
Will I have to change anything with my phone company?
No. The text and voice networks are completely separate. Your voice service, provider, and equipment keep working exactly as they do today.
How do I send and receive texts?
From any web browser or our desktop and mobile apps. Incoming texts pop up on every device you're signed in on.
Will texts come in while I'm on a call?
Yes. Voice and text are independent, so calls and texts never block each other.
Can multiple staff use the same number?
Yes. Your whole team can work the same number, and every device stays in sync as messages come and go.
How long does setup take?
Usually minutes. We verify your number's eligibility, collect a little contact and 10DLC information, and call you at the number to confirm ownership.
Do my customers need an app?
No. It's standard text messaging, so virtually any mobile phone in the US and Canada can reach your TextBox number.
Will it receive bank or Google verification codes?
No. Those use 5–6 digit short codes that don't deliver to 10-digit business numbers.
Is texting my customers compliant?
Yes — TextBox handles 10DLC registration and supports STOP/opt-out keywords so your messaging stays compliant.
