Why your texts aren't delivering: error 30007 explained.
Carrier filtering silently blocks a lot of legitimate business texts. Here's what causes it and how proper registration avoids it.
Every text sent to a US mobile phone passes through a carrier spam and content filter before it's delivered. When a message gets flagged, the sender typically sees an error code back rather than a bounce the recipient can see — one of the most common is error 30007, generally described as a carrier violation or filtered message. From the customer's side, it just looks like the text never arrived.
The usual causes: sending from a number that isn't properly registered (or registered under the wrong use case), content that looks spammy — link shorteners, ALL CAPS, excessive punctuation — sending in a blast pattern that looks automated rather than conversational, and a high rate of complaints or opt-outs against a number.
The fix is mostly preventive: register the number correctly for how it's actually used, avoid link-shortener services, favor real one-to-one replies over mass blasts, and honor opt-outs immediately. TextBox's registration and built-in STOP handling are both aimed at keeping your number in good standing with carriers so this doesn't happen.
